This picture is just plain silly . . .

. . . and not in a good way. Who has a 25-mile extension cord?! Anyone who has used an extension cord knows that you lose some of the power to your device when you switch from a 25-FOOT cord to a 50-FOOT cord. Therefore, the gauge (or diameter) of a 25-MILE long cord would have to be at least one hundred feet around to power a single light bulb, let alone the refrigerator in question during ALL RIOT ON THE NORTHERN FRONT. Furthermore, it is highly unlikely that the colonel's office would have an electrical outlet with the voltage required to plug in any refrigerator, no matter how short and normal its cord. There are 42 other major flaws in the logic of this cartoon, but 38 of them might constitute "spoilers."
