Main calls in old favours, and pulls the rug from under Hillmore's feet, the thirst for the top job, insatiable.
I am sure people (should they remember this series) will remember the last episode, and the shocking conclusion in particular. I will say no more, but it wasn't the usual way that the BBC rounded off a TV drama, full marks for delivering such a hammer blow.
The best episode from the series, that theme tune hits hard as the credits roll.
Exceptionally well acted, Tom Wilkinson is fantastic, but to me it's very much Peter Eyre who steals the show with his devious, cool performance, he's fantastic. A note for Michael Aldridge too, he's been very good throughout.
9/10, deserved for the ending.
