Needed to give warning/story had potential!

Warning: Spoilers
So many movies are replacing good storylines with sex. Sadly, this was one of them. Couldn't finish the film. I thought it was a suspense about a stalker until the scene of the male lead fingering his backside and masturbating. Soft or hard porn never makes a good movie. When will directors/writers/ producers learn you can't replace a fantastic story with sex scenes?

I am not a prude or judging anyone. I would've preferred an intense suspense. I do give it to this film they were not afraid to show the nude male as opposed to showing female breast (which is rare). However, this does not makeup for a story that needed passion and to be free of pornography. This is of course unless the context allows and in this film it was unnecessary.

It appears they were using sex to makeup for lack of dedication to the story.

Uncomfortable and very good

The movie starts out as a classic, slightly moralistic tale, of the dangers of infidelity and keeping secrets. The male protagonists find his life quickly unraveling after a brief affair with a one-night stand, and it is an unnerving look into how quickly what is taken for granted can disappear.

But as the movie progresses and the main characters motivations and personalities are unfolded, the story develops and becomes something much more interesting. It turns into an investigation of two tragic persons struggle to fit into the roles that are expected of them in terms of gender, career, behavior etc., and how their failure to do so have great ramifications for both them and their surroundings. It is not for the faint of heart, but it is well worth a watch if you are up for a very twisted love story that dares to ask some uncomfortable questions about the way we are expected to interact and behave.
