HE MAKES ONIONS CRY
nogodnomasters21 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This is the first two episodes of a Canadian TV series where Steven Seagal (minus the pony tail) plays Elijah Kane, a special undercover policeman. Kane leads a group of plains clothes cops who work only the big crimes in Seattle.

In this episode, the Russian mafia is dealing heroin through strip joints and have a run in with Cajuns just to make it interesting...or at least an attempt. Elijah is strong as an ox, has the eyes of an eagle, and sharp like a tack with the wit of a hamster. Yes, the dialouge was bad. It was dry and lacked any cleverness, worse than most TV programs.

However this film isn't all about closeups of Seagal to show case his talents. His crew gets equal time. The problem is we don't know who they are. The first episode should spend time introducing the characters, this one assumes you know who everyone is, except for Sara (Sarah Lind) the "newbie" with a "nice rack." The film has an interesting "Witness" moment which was a plus.

Seattle makes for a nice backdrop along with historic Camp Harmony. This series has been heavily pirated and shows up in a lot of places. I was surprised to see episode 1 and 2 on Redbox.

In later episodes LA gangs are dealing designer drugs through dance clubs. Seagal is the creator and lead writer. I think that speaks for itself.

Parental guide: No f-bombs, sex, or nudity. Strippers in bra/g-string type costumes.

CSI Seagal ... This is like a Mary Sue Fanfic
zombie-323 July 2014
Quick send the Mary Sue Segal to the CSI teams (he can handle all the teams simultaneously) as he will be able to solve all crimes instantly.

Upon walking into a crime scene he is able to spot clues and tracks inside the shop before he had entered. He is then able to point them out to investigators already on the scene who have not yet died because they have forgotten to breathe since they are that dumb. His ability to process the smallest signs and clues before he sees them makes him a one man CSI lab. Many of the smarter criminals simply just knock on the doors to the local prison to save Seagal the effort of arresting them.

He can spot people hiding behind a hill under a tree that was behind him by his tingling Seagal-sense (Like spider sense but a lot stronger like Chuck Norris stronger).

Gangs are not a threat to Seagal as they will only attack one at a time and slower than Seagal moves. This also means that they will never attack from the rear. At least the criminals are polite when it comes to them getting beaten up by Seagal and don't make him work too hard.

Then when he draws his pistol and used it his bullets are able to defy to laws of physics and teleport straight to their targets. No distance or cover will save them.

The overall acting is a major fire hazard due to the cheap wooden acting which is better than the scrip which looks like it was written by a Scooby-Doo / CSI fanfic writer who simply changed the names from Scooby to Elijah.

So the can out shoot, out fight, out think, barely out act his cast members. He is far stronger, tougher, and barely as fast as his opponents. Seagal has a massive Mary Sue factor in the film. The criminals push stereotypes to new outstanding levels which acts (better than Seagal) as a Mary Sue amplifier. Making his Mary Sue factor even higher.

This is a big call I am making. The only way I think (and I am not even sure he can) make it worse is to have Uwe Boll direct.

Retire Steven.......Then Go On A Strict Diet
werefox0816 December 2013
Steven Seagall looks like he has been on the K.F.C.(for a long time) And...Why did he use a Magic Marker (or charcoal) to draw a black triangle on his forehead.? His acting was always very bad...now at this advanced time in his life (he was 59 when he made this) his acting is dreadful. He wrote this....and the dialoque is strictly for lovers of Scooby Doo. I have never seen the True Justice T.V. programme...and I don't ever intend to. Steven (fat man) give it up man, you look like a big blob of inertia. His backing actors are poor...the directing is awful...the whole thing is B grade. I find it hard to believe that there actually people who can watch this garbage.....and enjoy it.

Seagal's back at it - Movie Version is 10x better
macfanatic5112 May 2013
Elijah Kane is the toughest cop out there. I'm a huge Seagal fan and this is easily my favorite character he's ever played (with the cook from Under Siege being a close 2nd!).

The movie version of Deadly Crossing is dropping on May 14th at Red Box everywhere. It's supposed to be 10x as hardcore as the show and some say is on par with Seagal's earlier work like Under Siege.

I like the TV show...but the movie is what I'm really looking forward to.

If you like action, one-liners and tons of over-the-top fun, then Deadly Crossing is your movie. Check it out.
