Damn... what a great doc series this is for Kanye fans.

Part 2 begins where Part 1 left off, Kanye working on College Dropout, whilst still working to gain respect from others in the industry, most notably the chiefs at Roc-A-Fella. Boy it's frustrating seeing some of these guys act disinterested in songs you know later become hits (and are still played at parties/clubs even decades later).

In my opinion, part 2 is even better than part one, as part 2 reminded me of all the things Kanye fans love about Kanye. Just like the Part 1, I absolute adore every scene with Donda West, that woman truly was the key to Ye's success (Enjoyed more Cootie in front of the camera in part 2 also).

Very excited to see where part 3 goes, and whether we as the viewer will get access the same intimacy and behind the scenes access to Ye we've become accustomed to, now he's in the public spotlight.

Favourite scene: Slow Jamz recording session.

Jeen-yuhs Part 2: Kanye finally gets his big break

Warning: Spoilers
What an eye-opening episode. I love how much time they dwell on his most defining moments. The moments with Pharell. The moments with Ludacris. The moments with Puff. The moments with his Mom. The moments when he's at the doctor after the accident. You start to really understand Kanye's mindset after watching this. And, oh boy, it seems like the next episode is going to go over the rest of Kanye's career and all the wild turns it has taken. But these first two episodes feel very grounded, raw, and respectful of Kanye as a talent. And yet nothing is hidden from the viewer. What a documentary.
