Greedo Grumble
A_Kind_Of_CineMagic12 August 2020
This episode is very much a filler and not very special but it is quite fun.

We get to see Greedo who has grown up since he was shown as a child in The Phantom Menace but is still a young bounty hunter, long before we see him in A New Hope. He has kidnapped the daughters of Pantoran Chairman Papanoida as part of a Separatist plot.

It feels a bit lacking in powerful content but is a perfectly enjoyable adventure with Ahsoka playing a key role.

While it is fun to see some background of Greedo it is a pity that he speaks English in a pretty ordinary voice in this episode rather than his iconic voice & language from A New Hope. It feels a bit weak and it is a pity they did not recreate that original voice.

But it is not a bad episode, just a filler.

My rating: 7/10.

Sphere of Influence

This episode made one grave mistake: not casting George Lucas as chairman Papanoida again. Would I have loved to hear him do an English accent? Yes. Yes, I would. This episode was about the abduction of the Papanoida daughters and it does lend itself well enough for an episode, but it is not as intriguing as I would have liked it to be. That might be because we do not know any of the kidnapped characters, so there is no emotional connection. However, the adventure the different characters went on was fun and I thought the action was quite exciting. There are some serious continuity errors here, including the fact that Greedo speaks basic. Why does he? I do not know, but I know it would have been easier to communicate with Han in basic than his own language, that's for sure.
