This is a comedy filler which actually precedes season 1 episode 22.

It is a pleasant episode with some fun for those looking for lightweight Star Wars entertainment but it is not up to usual more serious Clone Wars storytelling.

This story involves Threepio and R2 being sent to get fruit for a banquet. The attempt at making this seem important to Padme and Anakin is unconvincing and the episode lacks logic and substance. Why is Cad Bane seemingly expecting to capture Padme's droid? Is this really a sensible method to obtain plans for the senate? It is all just an excuse for some droid comedy.

The droids are captured by Cad Bane at which point there are some less comedic moments as the droids are 'tortured' for information. The more serious moments add some value.

The best aspects of this are really good - interesting, well designed characters like Cad Bane and the 'IG' Assassin Droid, Jabba the Hutt and the ever wonderful R2 all in a very attractive, well animated episode.

Sadly this does not have a solid plot or quality drama but it is pleasant for children and is a pretty harmless filler.

My rating: 5/10.

Had you told me that the most boring episode of this show would be an episode featuring C-3PO and R2-D2 in central roles, you would be right. This was really a dull first and second acts of an episode that led into a slightly intriguing third act that did not have anything to do with this episode. I love these two droids, but seeing them prancing around Coruscant trying to find some fruit for a dinner Padmé is hosting? That really did challenge my patience. Cad Bane, as usual, was the best part of the episode, but his role was not nearly enough to distract from the rest of it. I get that there must be something for the kids, but this episode just came across as silly and reminded me of the humor that made me cringe in the prequel trilogy.
