I am your Godfather.

This episode is a pastiche of gangster movies. The Hutts are shown with references various gangster favourites such as Marlon Brando from The Godfather and Edward G. Robinson from 1930s gangster movies.

The story is fun and has a lot of humour with a bit of darkness that gives it some edge.

One moment seemed oddly illogical as a droid declares the device containing information about the Hutt's illegal activities has been removed from a tomb when they should not have known it had been there. But it could be glossed over as a very quickly observant assumption I suppose.

Apart from that it is all entertaining and there is a great battle between Cad Bane and his 2 Jedi pursuers.

It also does some good universe building as we see beautifully animated alien worlds and see more of how the Hutts operate.

The dark twist to the escape of Ziro is a great touch.

My rating: 8/10.

Hunt for Ziro

Just like the previous episode, this was a subpar first and second acts, before reaching a third act that had some satisfying moments. Let us get this out the way first: I hate Ziro the Hutt! I despise that character and what they did with him in the episode was the best usage of him ever. Again, this episode was filled with humor that felt like it came straight out of the prequels, and if the episode had anything memorable, it was the introduction of Quinlan Vos and the third act fight which was awesome and very satisfying. Also, if you want to reintroduce a special editions character and make her interesting, do not put her in a relationship with the most annoying Hutt ever created for this universe. Not a great plan. That could and SHOULD have been done differently if not at all.

The worst episode in Clone Wars
alex140612 November 2021
I'm actually a huge Clone Wars fan, but this episode is just bad. It's completely out of context and has no bearing on the rest of the series. The plot is also absolutely pointless and makes no sense at all! Never seen it again.
