- Bear gets dropped off shore in the shark infested waters of a deserted island new Papua New Guinea and wisely swims for shore. But he doesn't have the sense to stay on land and instead crosses a sand reef to another island and enjoys an all too close encounter. But that doesn't stop him from trying to catch a shark bare handed. Then Bear attempts another ill considered crossing to another island on one of his suspect rafts.—David Foss
- Bear is helicopter-dropped off the coast of an uninhabited island in the Torres archipelago, part of Vanuatu. He rushes on the beach, fearing sharks, but soon after climbing a wiggly mound realizes his island is too small for long survival and decides to prepare crossing the channel to a larger neighbor, risky due to cruising sharks. He makes the best of what's available, like bamboo to split into a hammock. Finding food scarce except some fruit and seafood, from gory sea cucumber to a lucky lobster-catch, he braves himself to harpoon-hunt a large shark, which he must lure by urine and tackle exactly right or be bitten badly. Finally he constructs a raft, large enough to cross much further to a really big island, hoping it won't break down as sharks are everywhere.—KGF Vissers
