An hour of sheer brilliance.
Sleepin_Dragon24 October 2019
Harry travels to Budapest to carry out a Post mortem at the request of lawyer, Anna Sandor.

Without a doubt, after Shadows, I would class this as the next best Silent Witness story. The beginning is hugely dramatic and shocking. The Hungarian setting makes this feel utterly unique, it looks stunning, and makes the show feel fresh.

It's a great story for Harry, he's awesome, as is Lili Bordan, amazing as the exquisitely beautiful Anna Sandor. Ivan Kamaras is also marvellous as the Hungarian Detective. Ferenc Elek is so much fun as Janos.

That cliffhanger had me in tears at the time, it was powerful, and majorly dramatic, it still gets me.

It's fast paced, energetic and utterly absorbing. It does not get better then this. 10/10

Oh My Lord!

Harry goes to see a woman he is in love with. She is a social activist. He is to do a post mortem, but when he arrives, he finds the body has been cremated. After a night together, this woman is murdered and Harry is suspected. He hooks up with a strange man who helps him. The episode ends on a really wild note.

Silent Witness Jumps the Shark

Warning: Spoilers
Forensic pathologist or international crime fighter? Harry goes to Budapest to perform a second postmortem, meets his activist attorney lover, the lover is murdered by a government officials sanctioned gang of pimps, Harry walks in on and fights with the killer, flees in bloody clothes, is framed by the government as the killer, is nearly executed my a gangster but kills and then immolates his executioner, Leo and Nikki believe he's dead and fly to Hungary in mourning, they don't get upset in the least that he faked his death in order to find out why his lover was killed, Harry figures out that the gang/government are selling prostitutes' babies, delivers a baby in a hovel, ultimately brings down the whole illegal enterprise. Way too much emotional manipulation by the writers. Harry's character development bends further toward narcissism. My least favorite episode in this terrific series.

Harry Cunningham strikes again

I'm tired of watching Harry physically restrain and dominate women to impose his will. A lawyer, his lover Rebecca and co-worker and fellow pathologist Nikki Alexander. Let these women make their own decisions Harry.
