Great showcase episode for Claire Forlani
lor_17 November 2016
Claire Forlani takes over center stage for this entire episode, as evil Morgan uses her dark powers to impersonate (body if not soul) Queen Igraine, and this permits Forlani to play two roles for 50 minutes - herself in stylish chained bondage and as the imposter causing trouble in Camelot.

What I liked most is Forlani's juggling the difficult act of staying in character by perfectly emulating Eva Green (Morgan) in her distinctive vocal mannerisms, giving us a fake Igraine that is an amalgam of both stars' personalities. Back in her dungeon, she pleads with a guard for her freedom and his vividly violent raping of her is very well-executed for a cable show, delivering the power of the scene without the nudity and excess used as a crutch by the Showtime, HBO and in this case Starz networks.

Only problem is it plays like a one-off segment, in that the writers have painted themselves into a corner for what happens after the real Iraine escapes and things get back to normal. I only have two more episodes to go to finish off this prematurely canceled series, so that solves the problem long-term.
