The writers obsession with Taub and Cuddy continues . No other member of House's team ever got as much focus on their personal life as Taub despite him being the least interesting of all the various team formations. He's amusing so I didn't mind him to a point but not to this degree and it just keeps going. I think the male writers related to him more than House, Wilson, Foreman , Chase and Kutner . They wanted to prop him up. One of the female writers ( wrote this episode) said she had a crush on the actor . He was definitely a favorite of the writers if not the fans .
More on Cuddy's personal life than necessary. Ah for the Cuddy of the first four seasons. That's when the character made more sense. Candice Bergen is sadly miscast here she should have played a doctor or lawyer or a patient not related to Cuddy. They are unconvincing as mother and daughter. Jessica Walter would have been a much better choice.
