The Boom of Steve Bartholomew
benatabhf16 December 2016
Steve Bartholomew produced a documentary with his own money, in 2005. The documentary is 30 minutes-longs. It is a short-movie. In 2006, the film participated of an International Film Festival, and in 2008 he shows "The Dance of Freedom" at the Paulinia Film Festival. Bartholomew's movie, won the second largest film event. The content of the movie is Capoeira, dancing, types of Capoeira and its meaning for people. In my opinion, the film was very bad produced, but the people who spoke about their stories are very good and their knowledge is very complete just as the explanations about Capoeira. I personally don't like Capoeira very much, but I saw the film.

Mildly funny sketch that ends before it becomes repetitive

Warning: Spoilers
"Dirty Dancing 3: Capoeira Nights" is a live action short film from 2010 that runs for under 2.5 minutes and was co-written and directed by Jake Szymanski. Maybe you have come across this name already as he directed several other Funnyordie productions and this one here is exactly that. It is not (really) a sequel, but a spoof disguised as a trailer for a really well-known film/sequel. The cast includes Camilla Belle and Jesse Williams (Grey's Anatomy) and their work here basically uses the fact that Capoeira is considered a dance too and the protagonist perform it and as a consequence keep hurting each other physically. This is the joke I mentioned in the title. Honestly, it is not really that funny overall and it's appropriate that the entire thing ends before the 150-second mark. Maybe a decent watch for everybody who likes the phenomenon of "Dirty Dancing" and wants to see how it got included here, but everybody else can certainly skip it. Not recommended.
