The story is actually a modern retelling of a conglomeration of two tales from the Bible, that of David and Goliath (I Samuel 17), and that of Gideon (Judges 6-8), though the use of music to topple a symbol of an oppressive society also echoes Joshua's (which is also the composer's middle name) toppling of the walls of Jericho (Joshua 6).
Bilson did the animation using exclusively hand-drawn (colored in Photoshop) elements.
