- Bear's crew does their best to kill him as they simulate some perilous situations in the Mojave Desert including a sand storm and a flash flood. Barely perturbed, Bear goes looking for some scorpions, rattlesnakes and coyotes to play with before an invigorating rock climb.—David Foss
- Bear is in the Californian Mojave, to demonstrate under controlled conditions -simulated by his crew and machines- some of the major natural dangers in a ruthless scorching-hot desert. First a sand storm, requiring mouth protection and some shelter, improvise as needed. Next an even sneakier danger: dry river beds look like fine camping spots, but rain on distant rocks can suddenly make them surge to torrents, sweeping your tent away uncontrollably. Just wandering under the burning sun is a mortal rusk, as you loose lots of fluid, even his survival techniques often require more transpiration then the liquid harvest. Yet you must get on, sometimes even over hard to climb rocks, minding venomous critters like rattle snakes and scorpions, building a night camp with fire to ward off predators.—KGF Vissers
