Stiles monologue basically with weak plot twist at the very end Warning: Spoilers
"Sexting" is an 8-minute live action short film from 2010, so this one is already seven years old now. It is among the more, but not most, known works by writer and director Neil LaBute. This also has to do with the fact that the lead actress here is Golden Globe nominee Julia Stiles and basically the entire film is her. She has a monologue from the very start until almost the very end where a bit of a plot twist changes things completely. But it's neither a funny twist nor a dramatically relevant twist as honestly in reality the woman at the other end of the table certainly would have said something before already. And the very end with the other table cannot improve things either. Stiles does what she has to do without ever being memorable let alone brilliant. I personally felt that this little black-and-white movie was even at under 10 minutes a bit too long for its own good and the sex talk somehow feels as if they wanted to get in some shocking stuff, but the substance in terms of story-telling just isn't there. Eventually a really forgettable short film that is only worth checking out for the very biggest Stiles fans. I give it a thumbs-down. Not recommended.

What?

All I can say is, I want eight minutes of my life back! This was oh, so very bad. Rambling, backing and a whole bunch of nothing.

I think my review of this hot garbage is longer than the short film was.

I don't know what else to say except, Julia Stiles' hair and teeth looked good.

Other than that, this short film fell extremely flat. I hope they didn't pay much money to produce this because i have honestly seen short films better than this if in a freshman college film class.

And that's about it. I'm just trying to fill the six hundred character requirement. My thoughts were really summed up in the first sentence of this review.
