One thing I would say first is this television show is well acted and has great chemistry. I have seen Christian comedy efforts before and they look like they are trying too hard to be funny.
I wouldn't say it is completely devoid of this especially with some goofiness in the show, but it is charming. It is well written, it displays the show as being covered by news story to begin with and then goes behind the scenes of their real life.
I had an interview with the writer and actor who played Roman, Greg Elsasser on my radio show (Truth Be Told Radio), he had mentioned that some scenes including Jehovah Witnesses in an episode were based on his real life.
I think that it is so clever to have a fiction show teaching evangelism. Fiction is very powerful, since it doesn't directly point the finger at the audience, which can be good for Christians and non-Christians to learn about God and the gospel in a less antagonistic way.
I know some of the people who produce this show a little more personally so I am biased. But, this show is clean comedy and educational, it is enjoyable to watch and learn through appropriately titled "The Adventures of Roman and Jorge." A child and parent can watch this and both learn from it.
I would like there to be more shows like this on Christian television. When I first heard the idea for it. I was excited and prayed for that exact thing from God.
