While this series has been going on for far too long, overstaying it's welcome, it did surprise me in this episode with the choices made for portraying Erica as a teen (Rachel Marcus) and Samantha as a pre-teen (Alisha Coombs). If only everything about this series had been done this well...
To look at the uncanny resemblance Rachel has to Erin, is to believe they are sisters. Surely the casting department deserves the highest recommendation for this major coup!
The series was hindered from the start by the necessity of Erin Karpluk to have to portray herself at a bit more than half her age, which is an unlikely thing to pull off. I knew at the start that it couldn't work week after week as the seasons progress. By the second season, it was getting to be a problem, and by the third, you're relieved when the story-line shifts and she doesn't have to.
Lookalikes are what was needed from the beginning. BUt I knew that was easier said than done. Or... perhaps not? Look what the casting department found for this episode!
Up next, the 22 year old version?
