Oh Honey (#6.15)

Warning: Spoilers
This episode keeps this season on a very high level only this time we don't go through anything sad. The producer decided it was enough for us and just made us laugh throughout the whole episode.

So Ted is attracted to Zoey, Zoey to him but because she is married he tries to stay away from it. And it affects the whole group in some way so they all tell us the story. I loved how they made this episode all being a conversation with Marshall who is still back in Minnesota. Him mom and his brother listening also adds up on funny material.

And a great addition is Kathy Perry. I see she didn't do much acting after and none before, but this character was too funny. Would have liked to see more from her.

The episode is definitely great because I liked it even though I really don't want Ted and Zoey to be together.

Katy Perry Is A Lot Of Fun
slightlymad2227 January 2015
It's been a while since "How I Met Your Mother" had a guest star, and Katy Perry pops up in this episode, and like Britney Spears before her, is surprisingly good.

Plot In A Paragraph: Marshall has stayed in Minnesota to help his mother following his Dad's funeral. Individually, all the gang telephone Marshall to relate a story to him regarding Ted. Zoey agreed to set Ted up with her cousin, who shall be called "Honey"the most gullible person in the world. By the end of the evening, Ted did not go home with her, he let Barney have her. His reason?? He announces he is in love with Zoey.

Gee I didn't see that coming at all!! The set up for Ted falling for Zoe was pathetically predictable. I didn't think I'd dislike a love interest for Ted, as much as I disliked Stella. But Zoe is ridiculously annoying. However Zoe looks like she will keep coming back, with her now being an established love interest for Ted, and for one, this reviewer is not happy.

There is a lot of fun in this episode tho, especially the Barney (when isn't Neil Patrick Harris a lot of fun??) and Honey (Katy Perry) part.

Oh dear....more Ted and Zoey + a fun guest appearance by Katy Perry

Warning: Spoilers
Aside from Victoria in Season 1 of HIMYM, I have disliked any of Ted's love interests. Stella was mostly, such a bland and irritating character and then, there is Zoey. She is everything irritating about Stella, amplified.

Zoey and Ted is a terrible dynamic, and Zoey being integrated into "the gang" was done in such a hideous manner as far as the writing was concerned. I did not care for her at the end of "Blitsgiving, as the writers attempted to humanize her. At the start of this episode, something is terribly wrong. And it has to do with Zoey being a part of the group. She calls Ted 'man', something that is just the poorest and most inexcusable form of poor writing imaginable. The writers had to quickly sell Zoey as a close friend to the gang, so she decides to call Ted 'man'. The actress Jennifer Morrison does a very poor job with the character, making her little more than a cardboard cutout. And this moment stuck out, as just terrible script writing.

The end of this episode is poor, and it is meant to be very sweet and endearing. As I know she is not the mother, I eagerly await the character's departure from the show. Zoey is everything the writers did wrong with Stella, amplified, making her one of HIMYM's biggest nuisances to date.
