Warning: Spoilers
Barney wants to hang out with his dad the way he used to be, a party guy. So he gets him to a club to show how much better this life is and they have a wild night. I love the episodes of Barney with his dad, I hope there will be more. The two actors are so great together and they manage to keep it funny and touching. Watching them drunk was hilarious and it was a fun surprise that the father wasn't even drunk but pretending which wasn't hard since Barney was drunk.

And they have an interesting moment in the car when Barney is very serious and talks how he is not sure he wants to like the way he lives. But this could very well be just a weak moment since Barney not liking fishing kind of shows that he still needs his fun.

The rest also bring some fun with their altered personalities. The open marriage thing for Lily and Barney was pretty good and the story about the guy Robin once saw and liked was good, seems like we will see more of him.

Another Great Episode

Neil Patrick Harris knocks it out if the park once again as Barney Stinson as How I Met Your Mother gives us another quality episode.

Plot In A Paragraph: When Barney tries to bond with his Dad (John Lithgow) he tells the guts to lie to make their lives more exciting, with mixed results.

Any episode that features the brilliant Neil Patrick Harris's character Barney Stinson in the main storyline is always excellent. I could go on and on about the brilliance of this episode, and in particular Neil Patrick Harris but I won't bore you with it.

This is an unusual episode of "How I Met Your Mother" as the usual title sequence is replaced with one where the main characters play the theme in Ted's living room.

Find it hard to believe

The girl at the beginning in the green dress in the bar seen is credited as Kelly Curran but she looks like Heather Morris aka Brittney from (Glee)to me. Even at the end of the episode credits it credits Kelly Curran I looked at her pictures on Internet Database.com and none of the pictures of Kelly Curran look like the girl in the green dress. I think Heather Morris is gorgeous and has a fantastic comedic timing and presents. Who else can deliver a line like "did you know that dolphins are just gay sharks" and make it so hilarious. I wish she had more lines in Glee I cant wait to see her progress into other roles and wittiness her comedic chops develop.

Mindy is the name of the character who complimented the infamous red boots. The girl with Barney at the bar went unnamed and uncredited, and thusly it took me a while (and a lot of frustration) to place her, but I did; she is Clark Gilmer from season 11 of America's Next Top Model.

I found the episode adequate. I've noticed that HIMYM seems to have hard time mixing melancholy or serious themes into their generally laid- back plots. IMO, generally, if an emotional moment does come it's usually noticeably disjointed from the rest of the episode, or even sometimes at the very end of an episode, during the last few seconds of the very last scene. This results in a somewhat polarizing episode list; most of which ending up either completely serious, or completely silly. That aside, I found this episode to have a decent interweaving of humor and emotion. It wasn't my favorite episode, but it wasn't one of the ones that i'll pass over should it re-air either.

WHO IS THAT GIRL THOUGH!!!
