Not a clunker, pretty funny; I saw the pilot episode, it is a bit off color

Warning: Spoilers
Ray Ray (Sherman Hemsley) runs a used car lot named, appropriately, Ray Ray's. His erstwhile staff includes secretary Cheryl (Robin Thede) who sometimes may be a bit tipsy, salesperson Ritchie (Carl Anthony Payne II) who gets in trouble frequently and Sean (David Faustino) a short guy with big aspirations. Along the course of a few days, Ritchie winds up in debt to a mobster and falls victim to a pretty lady who drives off the lot without paying the full price. Meanwhile, Sean declares he is in love with a stripper with a heart of gold, that is until he catches her with another salesperson, and Cheryl tries to keep everyone in line. Funniest of all is Ray Ray, usually crabby, who "just happens" to take some ecstasy (believing it to be aspirin) and has such good spirits not even his wife or girlfriend can bring him down. Ha. Do these folks sell some cars along the way? What I saw was the pilot episode, packaged as a single film, but it became a short-lived series, the last project of Hemsley's life. He is a stitch, naturally, although the other stars have more screen time. Payne, Thede, Faustino and all of the others really make one smile. Be forewarned, however, that the humor is usually a bit off color and might involve breaking several laws! The pilot looked great, with nice scenery and costumes, while the script and direction were zesty and fun. Far from being a clunker, this show was comedic so seek it out, especially if you adore Hemsley. And who doesn't?
