Sex & Nudity

- Two people lay in bed clearly after sex.
- A storyline is about prostitution, but there is no nudity shown. Some sexual jokes/innuendos are made. Strip club scene shown a couple of times, women shown dancing sexually in bras and revealing panties. A couple is shown having sex, no nudity but sexual dialogue and noises.
- None. Some sexual innuendo.
- A naked man runs out of a shower to try to evade a policeman. The man's bare backside is visible. His nude backside is shown 4 or 5 times. There is one shot of him from the front with his hand covering his penis.
Violence & Gore

- Violence isn't constant or excessively graphic, but it is common and often bloody. Shootings and beatings occur in every season.
- Every episode shows some form of violence.
- We see a charred body, people with bloody gunshot Wounds, and we see two horses die in a fire. There is also a woman who cracks her skull by falling onto rocks.
- We see severed body parts that are mutilated and very gorey.
- A victim is missing a portion of chest showing lungs and other organs including a missing leg with bone sticking out.
Profanity

- Some, but infrequent. There are usually a few "s" words per episode.
- Season 4 onwards, there are some f-words but not frequent! Also starting in Season 4, there are occasional profanities: GDs and JC once or twice per episode.

- Sheriff Longmire is portrayed as drinking beer to excess, at times.
- Social drinking shown.
