I could actually feel my IQ getting lower as I watched...

Attack of the Cockface Killer is what you get when a few dozen bored horror-loving degenerates with no talent, no shame and virtually no budget get hold of a camera and decide to make a film for sh**s and giggles. Featuring a cast comprising of skaters, stoners, metallers, punks, and other assorted sub-culture types with far too much spare time on their hands, this shot on video obscurity follows the exploits of a masked maniac with a dildo strapped to his chin..

The opening credits sequence immediately sets the intended bonkers tone, with Cockface attacking a couple he finds humping in a barn; after chasing the lovers around in Benny Hill/ Scooby Doo fashion (thus allowing for lots of male and female full frontal nudity), he kills the guy with hedge-trimmers, and yanks out his guts in triumph. Nookie, cheap violence, and dumb comedy are clearly the order of the day, and the film's entire 83 minutes consists of sex, death and assorted perversions as performed by a bunch of loonies who obviously couldn't give a monkey's what people think of them.

During the course of the movie, director Jason Matherne subjects viewers to jokes about incest and vomit, graphic nipple piercing and oral sex, lots of cheap and cheerful gore (including a severed schlong gag and death by vacuum penis enlarger), and loads of T&A. The fact that those involved were clearly having a right laugh being as puerile and filthy as possible helped me to find the film more tolerable, but the chances are that AOTCFK will prove a chore to sit through for all but the most hardened fans of z-grade, home-made crud.

One thing's for sure, though: this is about as demented and as dumb as zero-budget SOV horror gets (somehow, I suspect that this part of my comment will be taken as a compliment by everyone involved!).

Raunchy, sleazy indie slasher without much else going for it
kannibalcorpsegrinder14 November 2020
After hearing of a special party nearby, a group of friends decides to go visit to help them forget the reports of a strange murderer killing people in savage matters, but when they arrive at the house find that the masked madman has arrived at the same place killing everyone he comes across forcing them to get away alive.

Overall, this is a pretty enjoyable indie slasher even with a few issues. One of it's better qualities is the sheer audacity and bravery to tackle the sleaziest aspects of the genre in full-on detail. The choice of the killers' attire, dressing in black decked bondage gear with a dildo strapped under their face and wielding another one as a main choice of weaponry, gives this a clear indication of where it's going from the opening scenes as he emerges from the shadows to attack and kill off the screwing couple in the barn which is shown in full detail of their amorous activities. The resulting chase scene imitating the exploits of a popular television show that utilized that same pretense is the final capper to determine what's going on in the rest of the film as it carries the same anarchistic sense throughout it with a focus on killing off couples in sexually-compromising situations resulting in plenty of solid indie thrills. This is carried over in the use of simply providing a body-count for the killer to wipe out. The actual stalking scenes aren't that terrible here, constituting the traditional indie-style of appearing out of nowhere and striking suddenly with a sharp object that results in some cheesy-enough genre setups. From the attack on the couple screwing in the upstairs bar bedroom to the attack on the various guests at the house party inside the bathroom, the couple in the private bedroom or slashing the various guests which results in some fine if somewhat unconvincing splatter. These here manage to make this somewhat interesting as there isn't much to dislike here, and it all constitutes the same factors anyway for the most part. The film's obvious low-budget and underwhelming barely-there production values that are rampant throughout the film. There's not much of a story to this one, focusing on random unnamed people showing up t the house party only to then randomly run into the killer while having sex or meeting someone alone. It's just all random and seemingly improvised over the course of a weekend at a friends' house which seems to explain everything here from the indie-flavored scope and tone to the wasted time running around doing nothing which eats up the running time and laughably amateurish special effects that are used here. That no one manages to catch the killer doing what he does or stop him even though the character is handicapped and barely mobile is another sign here of the kind of film this is, which can be the main factor holding this one back for just about anyone.

Rated Unrated/NC-17: Graphic Male and Female Nudity, constant Hardcore Sex Scenes, Graphic Violence, Extreme Graphic Language and drug use.
