Celebrity Naked Ambition
jboothmillard24 March 2011
Warning: Spoilers
I had seen a documentary with the same title presented by Nick Frost in 2003, but this one is completely different, whereas the other is an A-Z, this is a countdown with scoring. Presented by Kelly Brook, who got naked not long before in Piranha 3D, she counts down twenty five well known British and Hollywood faces, male and female, who have stripped off in films (and some television), and what it has done for the career, good or bad. As well as counting down these celebrities there is a scoring based on the opinions of some professionals about how good their body is, how good the nudity scene they did was, how often they do it and how good it was for their career. The celebrities in the list include Hall Berry for Monster's Ball and Swordfish, Keira Knightley for The Hole and Domino, Sienna Miller for Alfie and Factory Girl, Elizabeth Hurley for Austin Power: International Man of Mystery, Farrah Fawcett for Playboy, Richard Gere for American Gigolo and An Officer and a Gentleman, Jenny Agutter for Walkabout and Logan's Run, Joan Collins for The Stud and The Bitch, Demi Moore for the cover of Vanity Fair and Striptease, Susan Sarandon for The Rocky Horror Picture Show and The Hunger, Nicole Kidman for Dead Calm and Eyes Wide Shut, Madonna for Body of Evidence, Harvey Keitel for Bad Leiutenant and The Piano, Angelina Jolie for Gia and Original Sin, Kim Cattrall for Porky's and Sex and the City, Ewan McGregor for Trainspotting and The Pillow Book, Amanda Donohoe (also interviewed) for Castaway, Charlotte Rampling for The Night Porter, Kate Winslet for Titanic and Holy Smoke; Greta Scacchi (also interviewed) for The Ebony Tower, White Mischief and Presumed Innocent, Bo Derek for 10, Tarzan the Ape Man and Bolero, Pamela Anderson for Baywatch and Barb Wire; Dr. No, Colpo in Canna/Loaded Guns and The Mountain of the Cannibal God; Sharon Stone for Basic Instinct, The Specialist and Basic Instinct 2, and number one was Dame Helen Mirren for Age of Consent, Savage Messiah and Calendar Girls, and she wasn't listed but Elizabeth Burkley was mentioned for Showgirls. With contributions from Charley Boorman, Jenni Davies, Martin Deeson, Mark Dolan, Alonso Duralde, Mark Eccleston, Hugh Hefner, Karen Krizanovich, Tara Newley (Joan Collins' daughter), Barry Norman, Kirsten O'Brien, Heidi Parker, Ken Russell, Simon Sheridan, Adam Smith, Paul Verhoeven and Razzies creator John Wilson. Very good!
