The Cinema Snob (2009)

"Alucarda"

In this now long-running series, writer-director Brad Jones play the title character, the Cinema Snob, a mainstream or high art critic who decides to review some of the most notoriously bad movies ever made. Since the original episode this series has grown to have a very high cult following and fans from around the world.

The Cinema Snob wakes up with a hangover and decides to give the 1977 Spanish film ALUCARDA a spin and it doesn't go too well for our critic. I was a little surprised to see this film reviewed so early in the series since most people see it as one of the best of its type. Clearly the Snob wasn't too impressed as we get some funny jokes aimed at all of the screaming in the film and this leads to a rather clever jokes in regards to the opening credits. There are more clips from the film shown than in previous episodes and this includes more details in regards to the plot. The on-running joke of the Snob being sick from the hangover mixed with this film adds some nice laughs as well.

Episode: B
