Chennai, Aug 7: Director Vishnuvardhan, who has teamed up with Ajith Kumar for the second time in upcoming Tamil thriller "Arrambam", says the actor insisted on doing his own stunts irrespective of the risk-factor involved.
"He is so committed that he didn't let me appoint a body-double for him in the action scenes. He said he could do it on his own even after he injured his leg in one of the car chase sequences. He insists on doing the most risky stunts on his own," Vishnuvardhan told Ians.
This is not the first time that Ajith has performed his own stunts. In "Billa 2", he performed dare-devilry in a flying helicopter.

Animated movie Continental Drift powers its way into England and Wales, while Magic Mike is a surprising mover and shaker
The winners
The dismal days of June's weak box office are now a fast-fading memory, as the market posts a second consecutive muscular frame, powered by the official arrival of Ice Age 4: Continental Drift in England and Wales. Thanks to four days of previews, the weekend's tally is an impressive £10.09m, although only £4.8m of that figure was earned over the Friday-to-Sunday period. The cumulative total is a nifty £13.05m. Comparisons with previous Ice Age movies – or with any film, for that matter – are almost impossible, such is the odd-shaped nature of the release, which saw it debut in Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland two weeks ahead of a preview-heavy England and Wales. Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs opened in July 2009 with £5.85m plus £1.79m in previews.

Not Suitable for Children, distributed by Icon, has taken $147,000 at the box office in its opening weekend.
The Australian film, Peter Templeman‘s feature debut starring Ryan Kwanten and Sarah Snook opened across 42 screens for a screen average of $3,497.
Templeman told Encore: “It’s a middle-sized release which I think is pretty fair. It hasn’t had a massive marketing campaign so I think its good to not spread out too wide, and see how it does. If there is good word of mouth it will grow from there.”
Templeman added: “I certainly don’t see it as an art house film. It has universal themes with a broad appeal. It seems to get good responses from all age groups. It’s marketed towards the 20s and 30-somethings so that’s a big part of the market.”
The film has taken $199,076 in total, which includes preview screenings last week and festival screenings.

Chakri Toleti's upcoming Billa 2: The Beginning is among the most anticipated Tamil language films of 2012. The film is a sequel to 2007's Billa, starring Ajith Kumar, who returns in the titular role for the new film. Billa was a remake with aspects of both Shah Rukh Khan's 2006 Don, and 1980's Billa, starrring Rajnikanth, itself a remake of 1978 Hindi film Don starring Amitabh Bachchan. The family tree of Don remakes and sequels is getting crazier every year. 2007's Billa was a massive success, and not just commercially. While the 2006 Hindi version was among the finest Bollywood films of the 2000's, the Tamil version was also one of the slickest in that industry, and remains a high water mark for action in...
