A hunting arrow hits a crane flying in the sky, and the crane falls to the ground. An old man walking by, collecting brushwood, picks up a crane, takes out an arrow from it, and lets it go. Returning home, the old man tells his wife about what happened. In the light of the full moon, the girl O-Tsuru in a white robe comes to their house. The old people treat her as a dear guest. O-Tsuru walks into the room with the loom, closing the shoji behind him. She weaves a magnificent cloth with the image of a crane and gives it to the elderly.
