Forgettable romantic comedy (with an ounce of drama)

Warning: Spoilers
"Jerry" is an American short film from 2009, so this one will have its 10th anniversary next year. It is the only directorial effort by John Killoran who also wrote the script and the main reason this film is not entirely forgotten is probably the cast. The central character is played by successful recording artist a year before he gave his so far perhaps most known performance in "The Social Network". His love interest (or lets say "one of his love interests") is played by Nora Zehetner and even in the supporting cast you will find a couple names and faces you may have come across on other occasions if you watch enough movies and shows. Anyway, this is basically the story of a man telling us what keeps going wrong in his relationships and one aspect would be the girl saying too quickly that she loves her. Timberlake brings his usual suave approach to the character, but honestly it is not working out in terms of both performances and script. The female character's look at the camera at the end was just one of many really weak moments. Those are more frequent than the one or two moments when it is somewhat funny I would say, so the negative is more frequent in here than the positive and I cannot say the film makes me curious about potential future projects by Killoran. Thumbs-down and I don#t recommend checking it out.
