A nerdy watchmaker works on a device that will stop time. This will allow him to accomplish something he failed to do in the past. He has an adversary that is shadowing his every move, ready to pounce and steal his materials. I wish I knew a bit more about what his goals were.

Control of time is a so familiar Sci. Fi. theme. Inspired by subconscient fear, it has a limited forms to show it. In this case, a decent one. A watch repairman and his scientific project as revenge against the memory of his father. A client with a wood box containing a pocket watch and its pieces. A thief and an article in newspaper. And, sure, the events. A nice film , seductive for its status of puzzle - few pieces are not necessaries but the atmosphere of "50's mistery movie is a virtue.
