Took just under 5 months to film.
The cast recorded their parts months apart. Katherine Parkinson in January 2011, Dan Clark in February 2011 and David Schofield in March 2011.
Vaseline was used to create the rain splashing effects seen in the final sequences.

The characters were made out of various materials. Metal armatures were used for the skeletons of the models, clay was used for the heads, plasticine for the hair, eyebrows and hands and various fabrics were used for the clothes.
