"Suits," Season 1, Episode 1: "Pilot" (2011) is a professionally produced comedy drama about brilliant college dropout, Mike Ross played by Patrick Adams, as he unconventionally meets lawyer Harvey Specter, played by Gabriel Macht, and lands himself a job after a drug deal gone bad. This episode is 72 minutes of gripping storylines and excellent acting. Mike, the lovable loser, and Harvey, the overconfident egotistical winner, are a match made in heaven. Their acting abilities are so good, I forget that I am watching a television show and thus fail to view it objectively. I feel like I have been snatched along for the ride.
This pilot is captivating and has the layers to allow it to proceed in any direction desired. Not only did this pilot convince me to watch further episodes, it is single-handedly the reason I make time to watch other television shows. This shows formula, of two storylines within one episode, allows viewers to have closure of one at the end, but keeps them wondering about the second. This is a great show and I highly recommend it to anyone who have given up on television.
