Hello Tomorrow! Is a show that shrouds everything in mystery and fails to build intrigue. Half-baked flashbacks and withholdings of information are attempts to get the audience invested, but the show has barely progressed from where it started. Nothing makes sense, not the relationship between Shirley and Eddie, the commitment of Lester and Myrtle, Jack's and Brightside's history, or Joey's discovery of Buck and Mr. Jenkins the turtle. Joey and Jack have a tense confrontation, but the show has lost steam by this point, making it difficult to remain invested. In Hello Tomorrow! Season 1 Episode 6, Jack is fired from a sales gig and tries to kill himself, but is saved by Hank. In the present day, Jack arrives at a sketchy compound in hopes of being sent to the moon. Walt, the owner of the compound, calls Jack, who apologizes for sending them to his address. Walt and Jack know each other, and the compound used to do launches of its own until Walt shut it down. Jack remembers his father's quote, "No one's not a dreamer." He and Shirley agree to sell 143 units to the rich woman from the country club to pay people back. This will buy them enough time to find a real solution. Lester apologizes to Myrtle for stopping his investigation and takes her to Brightside's headquarters. He reveals that Jack's father, John Billings, used to own this launch facility, but it was transferred to Walter Green. Myrtle laughs at finding out it's a worse company than she thought. At Brightside, Herb overhears Jack trying to promote Joey to senior sales partner, but Joey wants it when he's earned it. Betty finally admits to Herb she's not pregnant, and Shirley admits to Ed that she flipped their moon unit for extra money. Joey confronts Jack about Buck Manzell and his turtle Mr. Jenkins. Jack promises to build every unit they sell, but Joey doesn't care. He tells him to quit dreaming before a meeting with a potential investor.
