The Goofs Section is WRONG!
tgatchell5 June 2022
In the Goofs section about Marines there is this incorrect statement.

"The most glaring error is the sight of NCOs wearing swords. Only marine officers are authorized swords."

Having been a Marine NCO and carried the Marine NCO Sword on many occasions having been part of Marine Barracks Hawaii, I can say without a doubt this is an incorrect statement .

Welcome relief from the arc of darkness
Paularoc11 November 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Pete gets a surprise visit from his ex-wife, Amanda. While at Leena's, Amanda accidentally goes off with an artifact from Warehouse 2. Amanda infects her bridal party who turn into drones of Queen Bee, Amanda and then the perfect wedding becomes the wedding from hell. Meanwhile, Claudia and Steve investigate the odd happenings at a Civil War reenactment. A light hearted, fun episode except for a somber revelation from Steve. I don't know whether it was deliberate or not, but the title of the episode, Queen for a Day, is the same as a 1950s television show. At the time, it was a popular show but would certainly strike the modern viewer as sadly pathetic and unfortunately amusing.

Weddings and sisters and bees, oh my!
lynnwengland21 September 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Watching this episode again really saddened me, but not for the obvious tear-jerking attempts of "Fairy Tale Weddings" and dead sisters. Last season, when ratings began to fall, the writers apparently tried to "broaden" the fan base by trying to appeal to women and middle- schoolers (Pete). It didn't work. This is yet another slip down that slope. The pilot was all about "Endless Wonder". What a perfect premise for a sci-fi series. Thousands of years of history and historical figures just waiting to be explored. It was simple but brilliant. Now, its weddings, ex-wives, making amends, sharing, supporting your partner, blah-blah-blah. I read one reviewer who said they had to go back and watch the first few episodes to remind themselves how great this series WAS. That is what is so depressing. The attention to detail was exquisite during the first year. Now, it is terrible. The mistakes in Marine uniform and protocol are so frankly BAD it would be tedious to try to list them all.
