Wow Ben Edlund should write every episode on supernatural. The guy is a brilliantly evil genius who has rarely disappointed us so far. He again writes a new master piece for the decent going season 7. I'm falling in love with the show over and over again.
Mark Pellegrino, Man you make my day. I don't know if I'm evil by saying every time I see Lucifer on screen I widely smile cheek to cheek. I feel sorry about Sam, I sincerely do with all my heart and I can't wait for the extremely long unpleasant hiatus to know what happens next, But seeing Lucifer on screen gives me a surge of happiness that I rarely get on any show on TV. The man is magnificent, evil, manipulative, cunning and even acting as a petulant child sometimes. (I totally dig the forked tongue, Nice touch!)
There has been a lot of speculations about the flashbacks whether it was on season 3 or 4, don't try to figure it out every body couldn't put their fingers on the exact time, However I tend to the idea of it being towards the end of season three and I'm really glad to see the Metallicar back (even if it was a flashback for a brief moment) and the Samulet.
For the second episode in a row, We didn't see Dean drink, which in my book is a good thing but at the same time he seemed less and less interested in the job he was more keen to go after Dick (about whom he has no info what so ever) he didn't even try to get out of bed to listen to the police radio and more and more (to my extreme discontent) he seemed oblivious of Sam's true mental state, Or was Sam a good actor trying to hide the horror show going inside his head 24/7? No Dean, I'm really angry with you, You know better than that and I don't think he will handle it well when "the other shoe drops" and Sam goes completely insane.
Oh poor poor Sammy, What can I possibly say? My heart breaks for the guy, He can never win, No matter how hard he tries, He always looses. Sam has made some shady choices in the past with good intentions and it costed him a lot, He had to sacrifice himself and be damned for eternity of torture in Hell to redeem himself and save the world. But even when he was granted another chance he had to yet suffer again the 24/7 Lucifer hallucinations. Oh Sammy, Peeking inside your head this time made me feel a great awe for you. How strong can someone be to withhold that level of cruelty inside his head all the time, While trying to hide it and function properly on the job? Sam had yet again to sacrifice his sanity to save his big brother, Letting the Devil back in with no chance of turning back or blocking him again. How long will he hide that new state from Dean before he would crumble down? Oh March 9th, Why don't you come already? or is it March 16th? no please no.
The casting was brilliant, I missed daemon stories, exorcism spells, Devil traps and the black smoke. Russell Sams was perfect in his role switching smoothly from a daemon to an innocent man to a crazy psychopath. Nicole Oliver and Jeffrey Ballard were good choices too. The lights and the directing are yet another Supernatural masterpiece.
