Huge Emotions Here
Sarah4233 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The idea of a story is to sometimes tie things together and sometimes stir emotions. This episode fits in the latter category as it will undoubtedly have many viewers in knots.

So, goal accomplished.

In spite of my best efforts, I'm still left hating Geri (Odette Annable) and all of the Davidsons.

They are villains and the writers have effectively made me want them gone.

Gone-gone. Out of here. Adios.

(And we have three episodes left, so good timing on that.)

---

Meanwhile, I'm also irritated at Stella (Violet Brinson) and Auggie (Kale Culley) for the choices they made.

Unbelievably perfect acting on Culley's part, since Auggie has been a "hug that kid" favorite of mine. (Tonight, what a petty brat.)

That sets both kids up with room to "grow."

---

On an entirely different emotional note, I'm incredibly sad for Cordell (Jared Padalecki) for losing a strong friend and good hearted woman in Twyla (Karissa Lee Staples)

I loved them together and they had chemistry off the charts, both as actors and characters. Hoping Twyla will come back ("in time" as the Walker theme goes)

---

Far easier to deal with, I'm proud of Trey (Jeff Pierre) for his sensible actions and taking responsibility, as well as earning yet another job.

And I'm glad for Liam (Keegan Allen) that he's finally, quietly regaining a social life.

---

There was such a crash of emotions from high to low in this episode--I have to give major kudos, even though it was a very complicated ride.

In addition, the episode was well shot, well edited, extraordinarily well acted.

The first half was an amazing action story with the case logical, the pacing fast, the fight scene perfect.

This continued into the back half, in spite of the questionable character choices in the love triangles-- and while those were huge, right now at least we aren't left with a mess.

Yet.

(We're left with a lot of broken hearts, but perhaps they can just leave the romance out of it for a while )

---

I'm thinking this episode cleared the emotional decks, which leaves us to (rightfully) give more focus on the cases and getting back the ranch. While booting the Davidsons (including Geri) out of town.

Who knows, however.

And that's the fun of the whole thing, right?
