Great fun
njk-5948318 January 2018
Warning: Spoilers
A very nice series, which really deserved more than more - although there is no chance now unfortunately...

Nicely animated, with quite an interesting array of characters : For once the protagonist isn't a complete idiot and is aware that is actions affect people; Suzutsuki is sadistic and manipulative, but does actually try to help Sakamoto and Konoe, although all her plans make sure that they are both pretty much humiliated first.

There is also a bit of pathos in there to as few episodes deal with the loss of parents for both Konoe and Sakamoto.

The last episode is probably the weakest (and ends on a sort of cliffhanger), but even so, it is funny.

Interesting Concept
AngelzWingz24 February 2019
So basically the story is about Kinjiro Sakamachi who is a high school male with a fear of women. During school he accidentally walks in on Subaru Konoe, a butler of the most rich girl in school. Doing so he uncovers Subaru's has been pretending to be a guy in order to continue being a butler. Though, the concept isn't terrible the anime is rather average and in the end fails to truly deliver on the romance of Kinjiro and Subaru. Also you should know that the english dub stops after episode 13, leaving the story unfinished. I didn't hate this anime but I feel like it slowly decreased in enjoyment as the show went on. The shows not horrible in fact the attics and comedic misunderstandings were pretty fun but not enough for me to recommend to anyone.

Good light-hearted fun
Tweekums24 March 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Kinjiro seems like an ordinary seventeen year old boy; he has a problem though… any contact with girls gives him a nosebleed! He manages to cope all right until one day he learns that Konoe Subaru; one of the most popular boys in school is in fact a girl! Konoe is also the butler to Kanade Suzutsuki; the sadistic daughter of the school principal and if she is to keep her job she must keep her real gender a secret throughout high school. Inevitably these two protagonists become friends and even develop feelings for each other… which leads to some awkward rumours concerning Kinjiro's sexuality. In the following episodes they must deal with Konoe's female fan clubs (she has two!) and Kanade's attempts to cure Kinjiro's phobia without exposing Konoe's true gender… something that may be difficult when they go to locations like the beach and a hot spring!

While this is far from being a classic anime series it is good light hearted fun and for once there is a good reason for the male protagonist not to respond to the numerous girls around him. The character designs are fairly distinctive although how anybody is supposed to think Konoe is a boy is quite a mystery; she has feminine features and her butler's uniform is clearly made for the female figure! There is also no obvious reason why secondary character Nakuru has cat-ears apart from to sell DVDs to viewers with a busty catgirl fetish! While it may not be too believable it is pretty funny and ultimately that is what matters in a series like this. Inevitably there is a fair amount of fan service although not as much as many similar series. Overall this is a fun series that is worth watching if you want something that isn't too deep.

These comments are based on watching the series in Japanese with English subtitles; unusually there does not appear to be a dubbed version so people who like to watch their anime in English may be disappointed.

Started great
toxinrabies23 December 2021
Starting was great but after halfway it fell apart. Expected more from it. It could have been better. Wasn't satisfied with this 😕.

Nose bleed was just awful. Some side characters were not well developed. Some useless characters ruined the show .

Just a rather average harem anime
Irishchatter29 June 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The only reason why I rated it 5 stars then 3 is because of the fact, the English Dub cast did a brilliant job on voicing their characters. However, I just thought the plot was rather poor in a way because it wasn't matching of what we intend to expect and that is Kinjiro x Subaru not being together all along. It would have been actually nice to see a girl taking on a mostly male role and be able to click with a smart ordinary school lad. Unfortunately it just didn't go the way I wanted to happen for them as a viewer....

Also I found the sister and cat girl were the most annoying characters. I honestly would never ever set up cat girl with Kinjiro on a date like in the end , I would just let her scream away and pretend to not know her lol.

Yeah overall disappointed with this harem, I was expecting it to be good but then suddenly go downhill on me like yeah I'm annoyed that I ended up not enjoying it....

subaru But why don't you die
erminahotmail12 December 2023
Then this anime that tells the bad life of Subaru I swear to you because all the moments with this character he always has bad days both at home and even when he is at school I swear to you because this character is a real loser Because all the females who find him everywhereif he always gets punched but every moment I've seen in this anime he always does this and I was wondering why Subaru when he received all those stains that he didn't die Because in real life he would have already died in the first episode I swear to you because all the even his own school companiesyounger sister really give him a lot of beatings and that's why I didn't like him at all. But you can know why a person only has bad times when he's with girls to conclude rating 2.

Disappointed at the End
alaminislam-8024213 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I have given 5 rather than 3 is only for the 1st Episode. It created a promise. And as promised it was going well 1st few episodes. In the midway they just lost what the main plot was. As viewer i wished Kinjiro and Kanoy will be together. That should have been the main story.. But that didn't happened. Makers didn't even know what they were doing in the end. There were a lot left to tell.

Well.... I'm just disappointed. It could have been one of the best Romantic Anime..

Especially disappointing at the end
Nonomemes3 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Romance , fan service and harem are all part of the series. Nothing that really break the screen but Suzutsuki is able to keep the story at a minimum level of interest, all the other characters are just ok.

The funny thing is that in the series she keep creating tricks to entertain herself, but watching it from outside she would recognize she is in fact the main entertainer of this show.

Subaru is super passive, so predictable, Usami looks like a doll (one of those small ones some people keep on the shelf), Kureha and Nakuru are Ok.

However, I do not understand the reason for ep.13? It makes the feeling that you can waste the story and important is just the fan service.
