This was Lucille Ball and Gary Morton's third day as guest-stars of "America Alive"! The previous two days are quickly recapped at the start of the program.
Lucille Ball did an episode of "House Party" with Jack Linkletter's father, Art. He also guest-starred as himself on "Here's Lucy."
It was hoped that Lucille Ball's appearance would boost ratings for "America Alive!" but it was canceled in December 1978, with the final episode airing on January 4, 1979.
In some markets, "America Alive!" was programmed opposite reruns of "I Love Lucy."
Leading in and out of commercial, the show plays "Disco Lucy" as well as "Hey Look Me Over" and "What Takes My Fancy" from the Wildcat original cast album.
