Singer-songwriter Jonathan Coulton has accused Glee of ripping off his cover of 'Baby Got Back'. A cover of Sir Mix-a-Lot's hit 1992 rap single appears in the episode 'Sadie Hawkins', which aired on Thursday (January 24) in the Us. When the track was revealed on the Glee wiki last week, Coulton, who has a significant internet following and is renowned for his songs in the Valve Portal game series, tweeted: "Hey look, @GLEEonFOX ripped off my cover of Baby Got Back...Never even contacted me. Classy." The track was subsequently aired on the episode, and has now been put up for sale on iTunes. Coulson wrote on his blog: "It's a cover of a Sir Mix-a-Lot song obviously, but I wrote a new melody for it, which this recording uses." "A complicating factor is that, to my ears, it sounds like it actually uses (more)...

As we hurtle toward a promising 2012, 2011 has arguably been one of the most impressive years for the industry since, well, 2010. It’s a good time be playing games.
A saturation of semicolons is indicative of a continued franchise offensive by the major publishers and, if Spike TV’s Video Game Awards are anything to go by, it’s really paying off.
Warner Bros. Interactive led the way with a total of seven wins from its three strongest games – Bastion, Batman: Arkham City and Mortal Kombat. Bastion bagged Best Downloadable Game, as well Original Score and Best Song, whilst Arkham City came away with an impressive 4 wins over 11 categories.
Nintendo came out on top in some pretty big categories, bagging wins for Skyward Sword in Best Wii, Handheld and Motion Game.

It seems safe to say that Jonathan Coulton is currently a nerd icon. Coulton has sung about zombies, worked on songs for the _Portal_ series, toured with They Might Be Giants and performed on stage for _Mystery Science Theater 3000_ live events. Coulton’s newest album _Artificial Heart_ combines this nerdy sensibility with a melancholy nature that is mostly hit or miss.

Top Zombie Songs: Foot-chomping Tunes from Beyond the Grave
The Walking Dead AMC
It’s nearly October, and the dead are getting restless. The Z’s are coming, signaling not only the end of the alphabet, but also the end of the world. Shambling their way into our hearts and viscera, they’ll arrive in a variety of feral forms, from the October 4th release of my own undead detective, Hessius Mann: Dead Mann Walking to the long-awaited October 16th premiere of the second season of The Walking Dead, all the way to December’s World War Z, with a veritable undead legion, good, bad and definitely ugly, arriving in between.
To celebrate (or perhaps mourn?), and yeah, promote my book, over the next four weeks, I’ll present a series of zombie-themed columns, starting with this one, which is about….? Well, as the subject of book, film and video games,...
