In the opening, Annie and Britta argue about whether Troy and Abed's apartment is 303 or 304. This is a reference to the fact that this episode and episode 304, Competitive Ecology (2011), were aired out of order.
The label of the Serbian rum Pierce brought says "Generic Rum" in Cyrillic.
The Pizza Guy who Britta immediately falls in love with and plans to marry is portrayed by actor Robert Tarpinian who was actress Gillian Jacobs's real life boyfriend at the time of filming.
Among the pictures on Troy and Abed's apartment there are several pictures of them dressed in togas: after the food fight and with the Boob-a-Tron (The Art of Discourse (2010)); one as cowboys at the group visit to an Old West town (Paradigms of Human Memory (2011)); one doing "Troy and Abed in the morning!"; one during the blanket fort (Conspiracy Theories and Interior Design (2010)); one in bee suits Celebrity Pharmacology 212 (2011); and another with the space simulator (Basic Rocket Science (2010)). There are also photos in the study room.
Gillian Jacobs (who played Britta) called this her favourite episode.
