"I saw a giant shark with glowing red eyes in the water! What is it?!" Wild Eye Releasing has unveiled an official trailer for a no budget, trash horror film creation called Sharkula, by filmmaker Mark Polonia who makes nothing but D-movies every year. They've made Sharknado, Exorcist Shark, Jurassic Shark, Shark Encounters of the Third Kind, Virus Shark, so it seems this is next up on the shark + horror mashup. The curse of Count Dracula lives on in shark infested waters, claiming the lives of a tourist community. A sea hunt for the new species results in monsters, madness and bloodshed. Oh my. This Great White is "putting the bite back into terror," with the aid of vampires intent on seeing it survive. Starring Jeff Kirkendall as "Dracula", with Kyle Rappaport, Jamie Morgan, Natalie Himmelberger, James Kelly, and Titus Himmelberger. It looks absolutely terrible, but I think that's the point.

We have an eclectic assortment of titles on tap for this week’s home media releases, including some Hammer Horror, a post-apocalyptic television series, several brilliant modern genre classics, and a handful of indie horror to boot. Classic horror fans are definitely going to want to pick up Scream Factory’s Collector’s Edition Blu-ray for Kiss of the Vampire, and if you’ve been holding out for the definitive release of A.T. White’s Starfish, your prayers have been answered with a new Deluxe Edition Blu that also includes a CD. 12 Monkeys: The Complete Series is headed to both formats on Tuesday, and if you’ve somehow missed out on seeing The Taking of Deborah Logan, you can remedy that by buying either the Blu-ray or DVD (and then thank me later).
Other releases for July 14th include Jurassic Shark, Game of Death, The Black Cat (2020), Killing Brooke,...

The killer shark movie has seen a resurgence in recent years with the Sharknado franchise spewing straight to streaming site sequels, while the schlockier Sharkenstein, Dino-Shark, Jurassic Shark and Shark Exorcist have also plagued home viewing platforms. Some manage to make it to the big screen; take last year’s The Shallows, which earned reputable reviews and Us box office (for its budget), while 2018 will see Jason Statham hopefully chinning a Carcharodon Carcharias in Jon Turtletuab’s giant mutant shark flick, Meg.
Meanwhile, Altitude and E-One (among others) deliver this derivative killer shark flick 47 Metres Down. More along the lines of Open Water than 2-Headed Shark Attack, co-writer/director Johannes Roberts’ film twitches awkwardly on the big screen like a suicidal haddock before wilting into dung sodden algae.

Ever since Steven Spielberg's Jaws redefined the blockbuster back in the summer of 1975, sharks have been a big screen mainstay, terrifying film fans and spawning a horror sub-genre that's usually thrifty in budget but big on ludicrousness.
As Jaws celebrates its 40th birthday today (June 20), take a dive into B-movie heaven and fish out some of cinema's craziest shark-based cinema offerings.
1. Deep Blue Sea (1999)
A Jaws movie in all but name, this souped-up action-horror from Renny Harlin boasts a bigger budget than every other film on this list combined, but a script that rivals them all for hilarity.
The setup? A group of scientists in an underwater research base conduct experiments on sharks in a bid to find a cure for Alzheimer's. Boasting a cast that includes everyone from Thomas Jane to Samuel L Jackson (with LL Cool J as a parrot-loving chef), this is big and dumb - but most importantly,...

You ever wonder why zombies can't talk? Perhaps they don't have the right teacher.
With the increasing number of zombie movies being made lately, there is plenty of criticism suggesting that there is little originality amongst them. Then there's musical-parody-zombie flick My Fair Zombie, which, despite what one thinks after watching the movie's first trailer, at least no one can complain that they've seen this movie before.
Co-written and directed by Brett Kelly, aka Miles Long, the Canadian filmmaker responsible for such cinematic, "mockbuster" masterpieces as Jurassic Shark, Thunderstorm: The Return of Thor and Avenging Force: The Scarab. Not everyone has been a fan of Kelly's, with one unhappy IMDb user placing him 80th on a list of all-time "Worst Horror Movie Directors," but with each new movie comes a chance at redemption, and, from the trailer at least, My Fair Zombie looks like it cold be an amusing enough movie,...

“You Are Chum!” reads the tagline for Jurassic Shark, the latest horror flick from Canadian filmmaker Brett Kelly, and judging from the trailer below it’s easy to see why. On hand for the carnage are the requisite bikini babes, their boyfriends a.k.a. appetizers, the frightened local who knows exactly what’s going on and, of course, a giant prehistoric apex predator.

When “Shark Night” was released last year, I thought, “Hey! If these low-budget shark-oriented features are endlessly entertaining, a slicker, glossier version should be mind-blowing.” Guess what? Not so much. When it comes to monster flicks, the lower the budget, the better. In my opinion, anyway. Brett Kelly’s upcoming aquatic horror movie “Jurassic Shark” seems to thoroughly understand this theory. And that “Free Willy” shot about halfway through the clip? Classic. What’s that lurking beneath the surface? It’s a synopsis: The story follows two groups of people — one, a group of students, the other, a group of criminals — who are shipwrecked on an island by a giant shark. The island was once used for illegal drilling, and the oil company inadvertantly released the giant shark from its slumber. Emanuelle Carriere, Celine Filion, Christine Emes, Kala Gray, Sara Mosher, Kyle Martellacci, Phil Dukarsky, Duncan Milloy, and Angela Parent...

Back in November, we showed you a trailer for the new shark movie, called "Jurassic Shark." At the time, the movie was still in post-production which is why we didn't get many shots of the actual shark. Today, we have a new trailer that shows the finished CG work, which is clearly stunning. Check it out below. Plot: When an oil company unwittingly unleashes a prehistoric shark from its icy prison, the Jurassic killer maroons a group of art thieves and a group of college students on an abandoned island. The new movie stars newcomers Emanuelle Carriere, Christine Emes, and Celine Filion. And the production company behind "Jurassic Shark" is also behind "Aliens vs Avatars." Trailer: If you cannot see the player, click here.

When last we heard about Brett Kelly’s Jurassic Shark, it was the end of November when the first trailer surfaced – a trailer for a killer shark movie with very little shark in it. This new trailer is more or less the same but with the computerized shark actually doing more than just swimming about.
Synopsis:
When an oil company unwittingly unleashes a prehistoric shark from its icy prison, the Jurassic killer maroons a group of art thieves and college students on an abandoned island.
Emanuelle Carriere, Christine Emes, and Celine Filion fill some of the bikinis potentially on this prehistoric shark’s dinner menu.
The previous Jurassic Shark trailer was quite underwhelming because it was mostly a collection of reaction shots, hints of potential carnage, and random shots of a digital shark swimming about not really doing anything. This new trailer actually shows us a few of the shark...

The re-emergence of marine based b-movies over this past year has been borderline ridiculous. Couple this with the fact that sharks, in particular, seem to be showing up in mainstream cinema as well it feels like a month doesn't pass without the announcement, arrival or abject disappointment of a shark-related horror flick. Forgetting the likes of 'Shark Night 3D', 'Swamp Shark', 'Bait', 'Dark Tide', 'Sand Sharks' and '2 Headed Shark Attack' production company Tom Cat Films' contribution to the ever growing sub-genre comes in the form of low-budget horror flick 'Jurassic Shark'. Helmed by Brett Kelly ('Kingdom of the Vampire') and penned by David A. Lloyd ('Bikini Girls from the Lost Planet', 'Ghost in a Teeny Bikini') the movie has just gained itself a new trailer. Emanuelle Carriere, Christine Emes, Celine Filion, Angela Parent, Duncan Milloy and Kevin Preece star. Check out the new trailer below.

Yet another marine-based horror b-movie joins the legion of shark movies slated for release in 2012. Next year certainly appears that it'll be year of the shark and Brett Kelly's 'Jurassic Shark' is the latest to join the slew of flicks with bite that'll be washing ashore soon. Hotties Emanuelle Carriere, Christine Emes, Celine Filion and Angela Parent all star in the movie which appears to be very much in the vein of recent Asylum and SyFy productions. You can check out just some of the stills below from the production which feature the main cast members not up to much aside from looking sexy and sporting bikinis and tans. Make sure you hit up the Facebook link at the bottom of this article for the rest of the pics from the TomCat Films project!...

Did you see that story in the news today about the cyclops shark that was discovered? You just know that’s going to be turned into a Syfy original movie in the next 24 months. In the meantime, a Jurassic Shark is rising from depths to take a bite out of shark movie watchers.
Filmmaker Brett Kelly has been a busy little beaver in the world of low budget b-movies the past few years churning out sci-fi, horror, and superhero genre fare with titles like Prey for the Beast, She-Rex, Iron Soldier, and back in 2008 remade Attack of the Giant Leeches. It seems in this day in age if you’re a genre filmmaker you will at some point make a killer shark movie. Brett Kelly’s time has come.
