Phil takes Haley to his old alma mater to check it out. It is a nostalgic trip for the man who remembers fondly his college days. Haley, alas, is not as impressed as her dad. She is more grounded than her old man, a guy who has great memories of those days. Phil goes wears his "Go Bulldogs" sweat shirt, completely out of style with the way the kids are wearing, making Haley aware of his presence. She feels a bit embarrassed going around with him through the campus.
Claire has only one night for herself and plans to enjoy every moment of it. Her friends are meeting to watch "Gone With the Wind" at one of her gossipy neighbor. Claire gives a lame excuse, telling the woman she is not feeling well, something that will backfire on her. She decided to accompany Cam and Mitch to a gay club to see the action, first hand. Her brother and his boyfriend introduce her to several friends at the club, which is also a boutique. Claire is under the impression one man is also gay and feels secure in his company. She has no clue the man is French, and he is straight as an arrow, Mitch's car is switched by the valet parting attendant. Going home they notice the change.
At Jay's and Gloria, Manny receives a mysterious package, for which he signs and takes up to his room. Gloria is worried about the contents in the box, thinking it might be some kind of a sexual thing. While Gloria frets about the situation, Jay feels it is a grown up moment for the boy. Jay does not want to intervene and lets Manny use whatever he got by himself. Not happy with that, Grace convinces Jay to go to Manny's room. They find him suspended by his feet with a helmet-like contraption that is supposed to make him taller.
