Katy Perry took the stage during Rock in Rio 2015 in Brazil on Sunday -- where she brought one very lucky and seemingly intoxicated fan to the stage during her performance. The entire exchange was pretty strange, to say the least, as the young KatyCat (who's been identified as Rayane) couldn't help herself from kissing Perry's neck, hands and grabbing at her waist. "I think she’s rolling," Katy announced to the crowd, after asking someone backstage to bring the poor girl some water. Nevertheless, the "Firework" singer handled her handsy devotee like a champ ... and even had a little fun with her while she was up there. "How do you say 'hello' in Portuguese?" Katy asked. "Olá!" Rayane shouted. "How do you say 'pizza'?" Katy inquired. "Pizza!" Rayane hilariously responded ... after rubbing her face on Katy’s costume. Judging from the video, this girl might not even remember meeting Perry!

Just another day in the lavish, latex-covered life of Katy Perry. On Thursday, Sept. 10, the bubbly songstress casually shared a photo of herself with a black latex-covered mermaid, smoking hookah while perched poolside. “Ayyyye pink dolphin what’s good?!” the Teenage Dream singer captioned the outrageous photo, taken by Rony Alwin, tagging Permaid, the account for the curious creature next to her. The pink dolphin Perry, 30, is referencing is a rare dolphin named Pinkie that was discovered in Louisiana just two weeks ago. In the photo, Perry [...]...

Katy Perry has never looked sexier! The "Roar" singer showed off her assets as she and designer Jeremy Scott were honored with a handprint ceremony at the Tcl Chinese Theater on Tuesday in Hollywood, California. Perry looked stunning at the event, wearing a plunging black gown that even showed some leg with a thigh-high slit. The "Dark Horse" singer also debuted a new 'do as well -- trading in her signature black tresses for some caramel highlights. Scott matched the pop star at the event, opting for a sequined black tux sans shirt. The longtime friends likewise posed for photos on the red carpet before checking out the designer's new film, "Jeremy Scott: The People's Designer," which premiered after the handprint ceremony. It also sounds like Perry played a big part in Jeremy's movie. "Katy is the arc of the film," he told Us Weekly at the event. "When you see it,...

That's quite an eyeful! Katy Perry's ample assets were on full display on Tuesday, Sept. 8, as the Teenage Dream star joined designer pal Jeremy Scott for a Hollywood Boulevard handprint ceremony at the premiere of their new movie. Wearing a very low-cut black dress (with an equally high thigh slash), Perry displayed her stunning curves (and narrowly avoided a wardrobe mishap!) as she bent forward on all fours to plunge her hands into the wet concrete slab outside the Tcl Chinese Theatre. Odd "American Idol" Season 14 fact: Unless I'm missing something, every single remaining "American Idol" Finalist this season is from the Eastern or Central Time Zone. Daniel Seavey and Adanna Duru were the only two contestants from the West Coast and they're gone. Last week, the otherwise dismal Daniel got hosed by the "Idol" Twitter Save, in which his geographic core was disenfranchised if they happened not to be watching an online live feed. The "Idol" Twitter Save returns on Wednesday (April 8), but with all of the singers' hometowns watching the same feed, nobody can claim that they're being Seaveyed. And, once again, viewers from outside of the Et/Ct time zones have been cut out of the elimination process. Tonight's theme is Billboard Hits, so follow along and chime in with your own thoughts... 7:59 p.m. Et. Has anybody else lost all sense of how many people are still left on "Idol" this season?...

Against a rival troupe's high-gloss staging of Amy Winehouse's "Rehab," New Directions' soaring rendition of "Don't Stop Believin'" has a winsome, homemade aspect. "By its very definition," as a commemorative plaque in the episode reads, "Glee is about opening yourself up to joy." Though the five seasons that followed periodically achieved the light, fizzy command of the first—for my money, the finest musical number in the annals of "Glee" is the second season's swooning, all-male cover of "Teenage Dream," which outdoes Katy Perry's original by a country mile—the series has long since lost its.

Katy Perry's Super Bowl show was a Skittle-colored spectacle with lots of cheeky dance moves, jet black hair, and silly backup dancers in animal suits. This came as a complete shock to no one. But still, Katy Perry knows how to make her candy blast of pop flavor last slightly longer than a stick of Fruit Stripe gum. In order, she performed "Roar," "Dark Horse," "I Kissed a Girl" (with Lenny Kravitz), "Teenage Dream," and "California Gurls." Then something magical occurred: Mystical trashbag-outfitted warlord Missy Elliott appeared to perform "Get Ur Freak On," "Work It," and "Lose Control" alongside Perry. Those are three of the most fabulous songs of the 2000s. Perry may be a dynamo onstage, but her polite sass was no match for Missy's thundering sexuality and sauciness. Naturally, Perry concluded the Crayola-blasted medley with "Firework." The best image of the whole performance was certainly Perry's entrance on a giant,...

New York (AP) -- Will Katy Perry be a firework at the Super Bowl? Will she show them what she's worth? Will she let her colors burst? NFL announced late Sunday -- after rumors swirled for weeks -- that the pop star will headline the Pepsi Super Bowl halftime show on Feb. 1 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona. Kesha's lawyer Mark Geragos issued a statement to Et, calling his client's lawsuit a "wholehearted effort to regain control of her music career and her personal freedom after suffering for ten years as a victim of mental manipulation, emotional abuse and an instance of sexual assault at the hands of Dr. Luke."

Leading sales agent Cinema Management Group (Cmg) has announced that "Born To Dance," a fresh take on the hip hop dance genre, began shooting on Monday in Auckland, New Zealand.
The feature is choreographed by eight-time World Hip Hop Championships winner Parris Goebel, a faculty member of Monsters of Hip Hop, and recent star in her own right of "Step Up All In."
U.S. bombshell Kherington Payne plays Sasha, the female lead in the multi-million dollar feature. Kherington was propelled to fame with her top ten placing in the hit Us reality show So You Think You Can Dance, which led to a principal role as Alice in the 2009 remake of feature film "Fame." She was also the lead in E! Networks docu-drama The Dance Scene, and was a principal dancer for Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream tour.
"Born To Dance" is a coming of age tale told through the eyes of ‘Tu’, an ambitious young man from Auckland who dreams of being a professional hip hop dancer. When he is invited to audition for the best crew in the country, and meets their leading lady Sasha, his dreams begin to turn to reality.
Australasian superstar Stan Walker will play the role of Benjy, Tu’s best friend. Walker shot to fame when he won the first season of Australian Idol and has since cemented his stardom with multiple platinum albums, appearing as a judge on The X Factor New Zealand, and a leading role in the 2013 feature film "Mt Zion."
Tammy Davis will direct, following from his award-winning shorts "Ebony Society" and "Sonny, My Older Brother." New discovery Tia Maipi, a member of world championship hip hop crew The Royal Family, will take on his first major acting role playing Tu.
Peter Jackson’s Park Road Post are the post-production partner, while Vendetta Films will distribute in Aus/Nz. Edward Noeltner’s Cinema Management Group begin world sales at the upcoming Afm. Noeltner says:
“We are very excited to be selling this high energy, exotic and incredibly choreographed film to the buyers at Afm. We are confident this will pick up where the Step Up franchise left off, and we see this as the next international music and dance sensation with terrific worldwide box office potential.”

Flash mobs are so two years ago. If you want to find viral video fame, the secret is in mastering the perfect lip dub. The art of enthusiastically mouthing along to a famous song recently helped a Kentucky fraternity skyrocket to viral fame and set up a date with Taylor Swift. Thanks to Frozen, lip syncing has had a great year with dozens of fans doing dubs of "Let It Go." Though the history of the lip dub extends far beyond Princess Elsa, YouTube users have delighted us with their best pop star impersonations for years. To honor the undeniable fun of the lip dub,...

The eligibility period for the 2014 Grammy Awards is drawing near: to be considered for the most coveted award of all, album of the year, a record had to come out between Oct. 1, 2013 and Sept. 30, 2014. A number of acts who would normally be considered leading contenders, including Foo Fighters and Taylor Swift, will miss this year’s cut-off. Below is a list of albums we think will be under heavy consideration as the first-round ballots go out to Grammy voters over the next few weeks. In no particular order: “Beyonce,” Beyonce: I’d say this is a sure thing, but I thought a nod for Justin Timberlake’s “The 20/20 Experience” was a given last year and it got blanked. Even though it didn’t spawn many radio hits, “Beyonce” loomed large since its surprise December release, not only for the critical hosannahs it received, but for the overall arc of the project’s music,...

We've got to give Katy Perry and Riff Raff credit for one thing: They know how to make fashion news. Every pop culture junkie's head exploded last night at the sight of the "Roar" singer and her VMAs date rocking the most recognizable red carpet couples costume of all time—Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake's 2001 American Music Awards attire. Brit's reaction to the throwback: "Just when I thought the denim dress had retired...you bring it back!" Our reaction: Wrong. It should have been retired. And yet we're still completely obsessed with this surprise homage. The "Teenage Dream" singer's Atelier Versace gown brings us right back to our own teenage...

Katy Perry isn't above poking fun at her own pop diva persona to get a laugh – a fact she's demonstrated in various goofy music videos. And that talent could come in handy with another creative venue: The singer has expressed interest in playing lead valley girl Cher in a Broadway musical adaptation of the Nineties film comedy Clueless, Vulture reports.

Looking for a pick-me-up? Katy Perry and Kacey Musgraves are here to put a little sunshine in your Sunday. The "Dark Horse" hit machine and Grammy-winning country starlet came together for a duet of Musgraves' 2013 single "Follow Your Arrow" and Perry's "Roar" on Friday for a taping of Cmt's "Crossroads," and the result (particularly on the former) was a sweet, bouncy surprise that will put a little spring in your step as you prepare to face the Monday doldrums. "Follow your arrow wherever it points"? Okay, sure. Musgraves is set to open select shows for Perry during the latter's "Prismatic" tour this summer. Other songs performed by the duo on the "Crossroads" telecast (the series' 50th episode) included Perry's "Firework" and "Teenage Dream," Musgraves' "Step Off" and "Merry Go 'Round" and covers of Dolly Parton's "Here You Come Again" and Bonnie Raitt's "I Can't Make You Love Me.

On Friday night, Cmt's 50th episode of Crossroads provided a preview of what Katy Perry fans will get when Kacey Musgraves opens select shows of the former's Prismatic tour in August. While the two might be "Hollywood meets Nashville," there's a sisterly sweetness between them as they tease each other in between songs. ("One time Katy told me I was like Dolly Parton, but without the tits," said Kacey). While their set list ran through Katy Perry's many hits including "Firework," "Roar," and "Teenage Dream," they did some more low-key covers of Parton's "Here You Come Again" and Bonnie Raitt's "I Can't Make You Love Me." They also performed Kacey's "Follow Your Arrow" — a song that she had initially offered to Perry. When Katy was producing the songs for her latest album, Prism, she asked Kacey to see if she could contribute any material. Kacey played a part...

Every pop star has their "thing." For Michael Jackson it was the glove, for Lady Gaga it's the complete and utter insanity and for Katy Perry it's food-themed costumes, apparently. We know that the "Roar" singer loves a cheeky on-stage style, but our research indicates that she's reached full-on obsession status. There was the sushi-covered onesie, the Hersey Kiss cone bra, a mini-dress covered in cookies, and a giant McDonald's Happy Meal sweatshirt. And that's just half of the list! We're obviously curious (and mildly concerned) about why the "Teenage Dream" singer is so into food as fashion, but we're even more interested in knowing how she gets...

Between picking up two Grammys and an Acm, it's been a whirlwind couple of months for Kacey Musgraves. The country singer can add another accolade to her already-impressive resumé, though: She was the first artist in her genre to perform at the GLAAD Media Awards. "I can't tell you what it means to me to be here representing country music - and to play a song that has opened a lot of minds," Musgraves, 25, told People at the 25th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York City on Saturday. "I'm just very honored and proud." After a warm introduction by out country artist Chely Wright,...

It has come to my attention that the heterosexual community is inviting itself to participate in lip-sync competitions on national television. "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" has featured spirited lip-sync battles with a number of celebrities, and they're often quite good. Quite enchanting! In fact, it's time for us to sort through Jimmy's combatants and pick out the king/queen of his lip-syncing galas. I'm exempting Jimmy since he has five times the experience of his competitors. First of all, before we begin, here is what a real lip-sync competition looks like. If you're not watching "RuPaul's Drag Race," you're really missing cutting-edge work in the lip-syncing medium: So there. Anyway: On we go to ranking the top five. 5. Los Angeles—For the 50th episode of its genre-swapping performance show, “Crossroads,” Cmt turned to two female performers at the top of their game: Katy Perry and Kacey Musgraves. (Spoiler Alert: Stop reading now if you don't know the songs they performed) The taping, which took place Friday night (18) at Sony Studios, served as a precursor for what to expect when the two acts tour together this summer, as well as showed that the bridge between Musgraves’ traditional county tunes and Perry’s power pop isn’t as long a one as it might seem. That’s, in part, because Perry came prepared to cross the divide into country and seemed eager to show off her singer/songwriter side. For sure, she’s done that before in her ballads, such as “Not Like The Movies” or “Unconditionally,” but she’s best known for her uptempo, fun confections. Also notable about...
