HIPPA regulations forbid hospital staff from discussing a patient's symptoms or his or her name with anyone other than doctors, staff and immediate relatives if the patient is not directly related to the case at hand.
Patients are at no time required to take their medication, whether they are there voluntarily or involuntarily.
