I’m an indie filmmaker who’s made two low-budget features in the last four years: “Life Tracker” starring Matt Dallas in 2013 an the upcoming “The Drama Club.” Along the way, I’ve learned some things that I wish I could go back and tell my younger self. Here are some of the biggest lessons: 1. Crowdfunding can hurt you. This isn’t a cow that keeps giving milk. You basically have one shot, so make sure you choose wisely, if you choose to do it at all. Unless you have an above-the-line attachment capable of generating press and who can point strangers back to your.

Jake and the Neverland Pirates: Battle for the Book is one of the more intriguing efforts from the children’s show. It’s a solid enough Disney vehicle in general, and one that the kids love, but the story here incorporates Wendy, John, and Michael in a new adventure that is not only a nice homage to the original story/film, but also plays with the animation in a way that is admittedly lost on the target audience, but is a lot of fun.
Hook learns about Wendy’s book of stories, from which she reads to her brothers about all of Hook’s failures, and he decides he had better steal it to keep the stories from spreading.
It turns out there’s something magical about the book of stories, and the general connection to Neverland, and if the book gets destroyed, everyone will forget everything that happened.

Writer and director Joe McClean is busy this week as the shoot for his new sci-fi thriller 'Life Tracker' has kicked off in La. Sexy 'Saw 3D' star Rebecca Marshall is amongst the cast that also includes both Matt Dallas and Barry Finnegan. Marshall was the unfortunate victim to one of Jigsaw's traps in which Bobby Dagen attempted to free her from her 'eye-catching' situation in the Kevin Greutert helmed final chapter of the 'Saw' franchise. Ron Canada, Jay Gillespie, Kimberly Adair, Bruna Matsin, Jeff Johnson and Jeannie Bolet all co-star in 'Life Tracker' which we expect to see a release later this year. The movie itself deals with a company that have managed to create a unique way in which they can predict biological events in a human's life by looking at their DNA. Check out the full plot synopsis below which was provided by McClean himself.

Indie sci-fi is always exciting to hear about, no matter how the eventual project turns out — be it a Moon or, God forbid, Another Earth. The latest line in this recent movement, is Life Tracker, which Variety says will be led by Kyle Xy‘s Matt Dallas, Saw 3D‘s Rebecca Marshall and How to Make a David Lynch Film‘s Barry Finnegan.
This project marks director Joe McClean‘s feature-length debut. He got his start with the six-minute short Coffee Connection back in 2008, and most recently directed the aforementioned How to Make a David Lynch Film — something we’d all like to know, I’m sure. The director has also written the script, with Sarju Patel and Debbie Vandermeulen are producing; NBA player-turned-producer Baron Davis and Marshall will executive produce.
Here’s a plot summary (via IMDb):
