a grave mismatch

Larry Holmes was my favorite fighter as a kid. I remember when ABC used to have prime time Fights on Friday night featuring Holmes and another childhood hero of mine Sugar Ray Leonard. Howard Cosell's boring commentary always got on my nerves but I loved watching Holmes take apart his opponents with ease. Its small wonder his nick name was "The Easton Assassin" its just such a shame he had to live in the shadow of Muhammad Ali (he was once Ali's sparring partner). I remember this fight with Marvis Frazier was one of his last successful defenses and it was a grotesque mismatch that ended in the first round. Frazier only had ten fights and he was only noteworthy for being Joe Frazier's son. Marvis was a decent fighter but he just couldn't run with the "big dogs". Mike Tyson later knocked him out in twenty seconds!
