I'm convinced that near the end of the program when Bobby, Ben and Leslie were at the restaurant and Bobby is begging them to stop running.
Once he realizes it's not going to happen he slumps back against the booth that he's sitting at, and really conks his head on the wall. And in character he says, "Aarghh it's not padded." I think he really hit his head hard, and he just went with it.
