Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Much of the men's Competition is shown, and those scenes are rather tense as the outcome is always uncertain.
  • Henry Frick is a rather intimidating character, and many of the scenes involving him are rather intense.
  • The Episode "Blood is Spilled," is the most violent in the entire series. As they contain the Johnstown Flood and Homestead Strike.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • The Homestead Strike is shown, and is probably the most graphic scene in the entire series. The innocent workers are fired on by Private Officers, many die, and one is shot and killed by a younger officer after he has a gun head to head by his superior. He vomits soon afterward.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The Homestead Strike is quite intense especially when a young officer is forced to shoot a unarmed worker.
  • When the narrator is explaining the aftermath of the Johnstown Flood, it may be shocking to people to hear how people died and how many. We also see the real pictures of the incident as well.
  • The electric chair scene is intense, especially when we know the person did not die right away.
