Slyspy : Everyone has way too little time to make demos, so things are left to the last minute. You usually go without sleep for the last few days, only concentrating on your demo. That usually manifests as flaws and little imperfections, because they're literally finished at the last minute, but this also provides a thrill that keeps people going. So in a sense it's like a mental extreme sport.
