I don't usually write reviews other than just leave a rating, but I felt with the current ratings of this movie it required at least one review with text. If you enjoy high-end, massively budgeted Hollywood explosions and effects - this movie is definitely not for you.
I am judging this movie with no influence from Mike or Ashens or any of the channels, despite how much I like them, and frankly this movie is really not that bad. The production side is average as you would expect with a 'homemade' movie, but it's actually well edited compared to most movies of this style and the sound doesn't cut or change in volumes when the camera changes to a different angle. For a 2014 movie the quality of the camera used definitely could've been a lot better, but it's still watchable.
As for the content and the movie itself, it's very British - with 'your mum' jokes and typical lads acting like lads. It starts off as a comedy, middles to a drama and, on many levels, it could be a horror. The writing, the story itself, it's all cringy on different aspects and this could be hard for few to enjoy.
All in all, it's fine for what it is. Watch it from the perspective of a 'homemade' movie, not a Hollywood movie, and maybe you'll actually enjoy it.
