one-and-done Christmas Special
SnoopyStyle30 November 2022
Blizzard, the young reindeer, gets trapped when a mysterious villain steals Santa's sleigh and his magic snow globe. He gets stranded in a small town where he is befriended by lonely ten year old Theo. The duo heads off looking for the magic snow globe which holds all the wishes of every child in the world.

I'm not sure that I like Adam Devine as Blizzard. It should be a young child's voice. The animation is CGI TV level. It's good enough. I don't really like the villain reveal. I could be funny if it's set up. All in all, this is not going to be a new classic. This Christmas Special is a one-and-done for me.

More Charm Than Most Modern Holiday Specials
sailor-mac-432824 December 2023
I admit that I am not a huge fan of contemporary Christmas specials. There's just a certain warmth and sense of wonder missing from them - they're more concerned with bringing "hipness" to Christmas than representing a traditional holiday. This one, however, captures the feel of an old-time special while using modern technology. Like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, it focuses on a couple of misfits - a reindeer trying to make a name for himself as a toy inventor and a boy who can't make friends because his family is constantly moving. They meet and bond when the reindeer takes off in pursuit of a stolen snow globe (which contains children's wishes for Santa). What follows is an adventure filled with high-tech hijinks (there is a memorable bit involving Christmas ornament-shaped robots) and holiday warmth - the reindeer encourages the boy to pursue both his love interest and his hobby of ventriloquism. The ultimate message is that there's nothing wrong with being "weird," and that we all have something to offer. I usually flip the channel when I see a contemporary special come on, but this is one I will make an effort to rewatch every holiday season. Not perfect (it sometimes feels like they tried to cram too much plot and too many characters into the one-hour time frame , but still a worthy successor to Rakin-Bass!

Pleasant family friendly story with some modern technology
vchimpanzee2 December 2022
I enjoyed the story because I too was a weird kid who moved a lot, though not as much as Theo, and I had trouble making friends. Despite being outcasts and nerds, Blizzard and Theo work to solve the big problems they are dealing with because it's the weird intelligent kids that often grow up to get the job done. Both characters are likable but it's really Candy who stands out, and no wonder. I immediately recognized the voice of Melissa Villasenor, who I was so disappointed left "Saturday Night Live".

The animation is nice and the film is quite colorful. There's nothing objectionable, and this was rated TV-G on CBS.

The villains are good too, but I can't say who they are. A little on the scary side at the beginning, but not too bad.

Santa is okay but not quite the classic character some specials offer, and his second in command is good.

And I don't think we're supposed to like Santa's overly zealous security team. They're villains in their own way. But almost as well done.

And of course technology has advanced way beyond where it was in the classic specials, so naturally we have the Internet and other modern conveniences. Santa would be expected to have very advanced security, but we have these features in our world too.

Political correctness requires diversity, s while in the real world most characters with lines are white, Theo's crush and a potential hero of the story is Black. She is likable enough.

I think it's a good enough special to add to the list people will watch, but I only watch specials once these days.

So boring
alishawalke5 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The characters are so dumb and predictable. The reindeer has lopsided horns so it runs into things it doesn't even make sense. Maybe it's for like 4 year olds but watching this as an adult I nearly fell asleep not even halfway through. The villain just wants to ruin chirstmas just like any other movie he has no detail he's just bland and the boy he's bland too he likes to play with puppets but is to scared to show anyone. The girl her whole personality is just based on bugs nothing special. The story line also sucks. None of the characters are likable at all. The animation looks like it is used in a commercial. Also the jokes are corny and don't even make sense watch this if you want to waste your time.

An Instant Holiday Classic!
joeg_fit30 November 2022
A beautifully crafted Christmas journey that goes beyond the traditional holiday narrative. Almost instantly, from the jump, you're cheering for Blizzard and his buddies in their heart warming master plan to SAVE CHRISTMAS. The animation is spellbinding. The world created by Director Lino DiSalvo leaps out at you and gives you this enormous holiday hug that you never want to end. The characters are unforgettable and are easy to root for. It's a star studded cast and they effectively bring this memorable story to life: Blizzard(Adam DeVine), Candy(Melissa Villasenor), Theo(Gabriel Bateman), Smiley(HENRY WINKLER), Isla(Brooke Monroe Conaway), Santa(Jim Gaffigan), Hawk(Jo Koy), Pinky(Candace Cameron Bure) and Bucky(Donald Faison).

Move over Rudolph, Santa has some new friends in town and they"re here to stay!

I am glad I stayed on CBS to watch this after Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

Reindeer in Here was definitely worth watching. I adored the positive energy of Adam Devine and Melissa Villasenor all the way through. The voices of Sam-I-Am from Green Eggs and Ham and Wheezer from The Chicken Squad definitely made this TV special special and gave it the life that it needed to be as great as it is. My uncle hated hearing Candace Cameron-Bure in this because we have seen her in too many Hallmark Christmas movies, and it certainly does not help that she left Hallmark for favoring stories about traditional marriages over LGBTQ+ couples. Bill Abbott was also wrong for treating it like a trend and Hilarie Burton called out both sides of this argument when they were in the wrong in different ways. This is why I am glad that Candace Cameron got stuck with the much smaller role of Pinky, even though Candy sounds like a name for a main character you would expect Candace Cameron to play in these Christmas movies. Maybe Candace auditioned for that part and lost it. Instead, Melissa Villasenor got to shine in a new iconic animated role that made me fall in love with MV's comically adorable talents. Reindeer in Here is (thankfully!) not about Candace Cameron Bure, it is about the Adam Devine we know and love from Workaholics, Uncle Grandpa, Penn-Zero: Part-Time Hero and Green Eggs and Ham. The rhyming title of this special may have even been inspired by his Sam-I-Am role. However, Melissa Villasenor as the snow woman with a candy cane nose may become the real breakout star of this Christmas special story, with positive energy and adorable scene-stealing comedy that rivals that of Liliana Mumy in Higglytown Heroes, Katie Crown in Storks and Haley Tju in Amphibia. I actually came to love Reindeer in Here's Candy a lot more than Frozen's Olaf. I highly recommend you check out Reindeer in Here on Paramount+ right now because it has a lot to bring to start a new Christmas classic, about kids who have trouble making friends because their family moves around a lot between every school year. I think the kids who play Theo and Isla can accomplish great things if they continue to have a good acting career and a good childhood after Reindeer in Here, but Henry Winkler also surprised me with the multiple dimensions he gives Smiley that prove his acting career never jumped the shark. If you loved watching Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, I guarantee you will love Reindeer in Here a whole lot more. Thanks to Melissa Villasenor and Adam Devine, Candy and Blizzard were the funniest characters in Reindeer in Here because they were a whole lot of winter fun to watch. Thank you for writing this story, Adam Reed.

Good Movie.
Zyl3thbl0x16 October 2023
This movie is better than the nightmare before Christmas and the amazing bulk and more. It can be totally led the movie into problems because of writing or straight up acting, but i don't care. The movie is great and was directed by the guy to made animation for some Disney movies and shorts and made the Playmobil movie (disappointment), reindeer in here is certainly a CBS holiday special masterpiece, I don't even care about some of the characters but Adam DeVine did a good job voice acting blizzard (or blizz idk) and much more actors. So yeah i did like this movie a lot, thx for reading this :)

An instant holiday classic
sionsarker28 December 2023
This was a very awesome Christmas special. It was awesome one of the best christmas specials ever shown. Theres nothing better than a classic. Blizz and theo became good friends while saving christmas . It shows alot of important lessons that all kids need to remember .Like how being different is good and how christmas wishes can come true and even teaches us about friendship. Theres even a book and a few cool plush toys people can buy online a perfect thing to do with families. The ending was perfect I won't tell you what happened, but it was awesome and I can't wait to watch it again every year.

Amazing holiday classic
sarkersion4 November 2023
Its so awesome and cool because it teaches alot about friendship wishes and being different. It was about a kid named theo who is new and its christmas time and he has no friends except his ventriloquist dummy frankie. Then one night blizz crashes in his room and says he needs help finding santas snowglobe which was stolen by a villain.so they work together to save christmasI very good. Was pretty awesome how blizz helps theo cope with a new neighborhood and the best parts was theo riding blizz and flying through the sky. An awesome christmas special that id recommend to my family and friends.
